I would like to give a quick shout out to my cousin, Javier!!! He is in the Army and is currently stationed in Korea - where he will be until the end of the year. We were able to visit with him via webcam which was really cool. So if you can see this Javier, we miss you and be safe!!!
Sorry, I haven't been to great about blogging - ALOT has been going on...
I am so sad to say that my Grandmother (my Mom's mom) passed away last week. She was a truly remarkable lady and the epitome of what a true southern lady should be. One of my favorite memories of her is seeing her in her 'casual' clothes - slacks with pantyhose, a sweatshirt with a blouse underneath and a brooch, and of course lipstick. She always had a smile on her face and was more than happy to sit and listen to our beautiful music on the piano - I can only play one song on the piano Mary Had a Little lamb - so as you can imagine it was not music to any ones ears. And she always had a jar full of spiced oatmeal cookies - they were the best and I can't find them anywhere! Grandmother also made the best chocolate and lemon pies you have ever tasted - she whipped the meringue by hand! I really miss her, but I know she is looking down on us. Love you Grandmother.
Let see what else happened over the past few weeks....
Lily can now sit up and is an absolute doll! She is showing all kinds emotion with her face now. So cute. Her laugh makes me giggle even when I think about it. What a treat to have such an amazing little niece!
It is hotter than H E double hockey sticks right now! Everyday I am blown away by the heat! I don't know why - I have lived in Texas my whole life you would think I would be used to it. I think being pregnant makes it even worse.
Well, I am starting to show a little bit - I will try to post pictures soon. I have been holding out on buying maternity clothes, 1. because I am extremely cheap, and 2. because I am just plain cheap. So finally my Dad!!! asked me to please please please (exact words) go buy some clothes that fit! It seems the whole family agreed! Seth even started in on me - I can't blame him - I have resorted to only 4 work outfits due to size limitations. So I am sure they are ALL sick of seeing me where them. I am going to go this weekend and see what I can find. I am not crazy about maternity wear, so we will see....
Everything with the baby seems good to go. I really wish they let you rent ultrasound machines - I want to see the little one all the time! Wouldn't that be fantastic! I really think that we are going to have a little boy! What do you think?

Katie, thank you for sharing your memories of Grandmother. They are really sweet. Now that I'm a grandmother too, I realize how much she loved all of her grandchildren.
