Happy Thanksgiving! Seth and I have so many things to be thankful for this year. Here is just our (really mine, Seth is still asleep) top five:
1. Each other. I am so blessed for my wonderful husband. He has been so considerate and fun during the past 9 months. I can't wait to see him wrapped around little Reese's finger. Everyday I am amazed at his knowledge and talents. Thank you God for Seth.
2. Our families. Wow, what can I say about our families? They are all so excited about the impending birth of Reese. They have all been so helpful and generous this year. Whether it is with just a phone call to check on us, or offerings of advice and an ear to all of my crazy worries. Thank you God for our families.
3. Lily. We love Lily so much. She has been such a blessing to us. Without Lily I really think it would have been a while before there would have been a Reese. Lily has given us all the experience of a whole new kind of love in our life. It is so fun to watch someones face light up when they see this little one. She can turn your bad day into the best day with just one little smile. She has brought my family so much closer. Thank you God for Lily.
4. Our friends. I am so lucky to have stayed in contact with so many of my childhood friends. I still talk to my best friend from the second grade almost everyday. This past year we have all gone through so many experiences together. It is sometimes surreal to look back and think of all the wild and crazy things we used to do, and now we are adults with responsibilities. When Seth and I shared that we were expecting our first child this year we had so many friends that were so excited for us. Thank you God for our friends.
5. Reese. I know she is not here yet, but we already love this little one sooooo much. I have loved every second of being pregnant, and I love sharing this with Seth. It is so neat to feel her wiggle around in my tummy. It is such a amazing joy to see Seth's face light up when we saw our first ultrasound or when he felt her move for the first time. This experience has changed my whole outlook on life. It has made me appreciate all of the love that our parents give us even more. Thank you God for Reese.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of what we have to be thankful for this year. God has blessed Seth and I with so many things.
