Well, my weekend started off lovely! On Saturday, I had a Junior League event, Kids in the Kitchen. It was really fun and we actually got done a little early, so I headed back towards Conroe. WELL, as I got onto the highway I heard a crazy noise and I thought to myself, "I know that is not my car! Sucks for whoever that is!" Oh, but it was my car! I had a flat tire and I was a good hour away from Conroe. Lovely! I pulled over to the side the road, this was after a group of guys drove past me motioning that I had flat tire. Anywho, once I got to the side of the road I called Seth and he was pretty far away, so I tried my Dad and he called my Uncle Rick who lived really close by. In the meantime a very nice guy, Joe, stopped and attempted to help. Being that I have a new car, and I know nothing about changing a tire, I was not much assistance. We got my car manual out and discovered to our horror and disbelief that you have to air up my spare tire with a little air compressor. Isn't that the wackiest thing you have ever heard??? Why would your have a deflated spare tire? That totally defeats the purpose!!! By this time my Uncle Rick showed up and he took charge thankfully! I did call my roadside assistance folks, but they never showed up! Oh, not only do you have to air the spare tire up, you have to hook the air compressor up to my car battery. That would be all fine and dandy except that we could not locate my battery! When I got home my Dad found it underneath the driver seat. WACKO! Anybody interested in buying a VW Taureg?
So, on Sunday morning Seth and I set out to get a new tire, however, I am so super special that nobody keeps my particular tires in stock , so it has to be special ordered. Which takes 3 days. Even lovelier!
Anywho, on Sunday Lily was baptised! I have to say she was the best baby ever! There were 16!!! babies baptised and Lily was the cutest and the sweetest! She did not make a peep during the whole hour and half ceremony. She wore the cutest gown and bonnet. I will post some pics as soon as I get some from my parents! I think that we have every second of that child's life on film. I love it!

She absolutely is the cutest baby ever! and that's saying a lot because I already had the top 3.
ReplyDeleteThat tire thing was scary, Katie. I was so glad your Uncle Rick. Aunt Pam, and Joe could get to you and God bless Joe (the good Samaritan Joe).
